A secret committee has been put in charge of planning Prince Charles' coronation.
Papers obtained by the Mail On Sunday newspaper reportedly list the Duke of Norfolk as the head of the committee that has been asked to organise the event, which they have nicknamed the Golden Orb.
The committee are also said to be responsible for planning the funeral of The Queen - which is given the codename London Bridge - and the funeral for Prince Philip - named as Forth Bridge.
Royal historian Dr Anna Whitelock believes the name 'The Golden Orb' has been chosen as it relates to the Crown Jewels used in a coronation ceremony.
She said: "The orb is a hollow ball of gold and a Christian symbol of authority signifying Christ's dominion over the world represented in the next Monarch's power.
"The name of the committee reminds us that at the heart of the ceremony, the King is made to swear vows of awesome severity, not to his country, or even his subjects, but to God."
However, it may be some time until Prince Charles takes to the throne as Queen Elizabeth, who currently holds the position as head of the royal family, has no plans to slow down with the amount of royal engagements she does this year.
A source said previously: "She will not be doing less, just doing it more gently. There is a lot happening between now and July, so it is about trying to find new ways for her to work less strenuously."
