Britain's royal family will struggle to fit into Sandringham House this Christmas.
Queen Elizabeth has invited so many people to the Norfolk estate to help celebrate her great-grandson Prince George's first Christmas that many family members will reportedly be relegated to the servants' quarters.
Around 30 of the monarch's relations are arriving today (23.12.13) and several will have to sleep in separate cottages on the estate or in servants' rooms due to lack of space.
A source told the MailOnline: "Sandringham is a large house but everyone will be crammed in like sardines. There are just so many young royals now with children and the numbers keep going up. It's great for the Queen but a nightmare to cater for."
Although it is set on 600 acres of land, the house's quarters are said to be "cramped" compared to the royal's usual lavish standards.
The royal party - which includes the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall - always follow the same routine every Christmas.
Presents are opened at 6pm sharp on Christmas Eve before a candlelit banquet, with the women leaving at 10pm while the men stay on to enjoy port or brandy.
On Christmas morning, they attend St Mary Magdalene church before sitting down to a traditional roast lunch at 1pm, watching the Queen's speech on television and finishing off the day by playing games.
