India Hicks - who is the second cousin and god-daughter of Prince Charles - has revealed that although the family are doing their best to move with the times, they're finding it difficult to decide where it is they should draw a line.

Referring to the family's decision to announce the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's daughter Princess Charlotte on Twitter with the hashtag "#royalbaby", India said: "I think the family is trying to modernise, and that's a very difficult thing to do. How much is too much? ... How modern do you become?"

The 48-year-old former model also rubbished claims Duchess Catherine - who also has two-year-old son Prince George with husband Prince William - won't allow five-month-old Charlotte to wear a dress in favour of traditional garments until she's a year old.

She told Haute Living magazine: "They will be doing exactly what they feel is right."
