Donatella Versace wants Britain's Queen Elizabeth to feature in her new couture collection.
The Italian designer admits she sees the 87-year-old royal as a fashion icon and would love to put her in some of the pieces from her summer collection.
She told the Sunday Times newspaper: "She is couture.
"I could put her in the colours in this collection, the lilac, pale pinks and purples, but my dream was to put her in black."
Meanwhile, Donatella - who took over the Versace fashion empire after her brother Gianni was murdered in 1997 - believes the Duchess of Cambridge - who welcomed her son Prince George into the world last July with her husband Prince William - would look good in one of her Grecian draped dresses because she has an incredible figure.
She explained: "She can wear anything because she has a fantastic body."
The 58-year-old star - who is currently working with Lady Gaga - is adamant the royal family are the reason why so many young and wealthy Britons are approaching her with an interest in couture.
She said: "I call it the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge effect."
