Britain's Queen Elizabeth has been crowned the most stylish icon over the age of 50.
The 89-year-old monarch has beat off stiff competition from the likes of glamorous movie stars and leggy models to swipe the title in a survey conducted for an online clothing retailer.
Following closely behind in second place was Dame Helen Mirren, 70, while Meryl Streep, 66, nabbed third position.
'Great British Bake Off' presenter Mary Berry, 80, came in at fourth, while Madonna, 57, who is known for her raunchy onstage ensembles, failed to impress and fell bottom of the poll, conducted by YouGov, with just three per cent of votes.
Other celebrities praised on their fashion sense; included the US' first lady Michelle Obama, 51, presenter Lorraine Kelly, 56, actress Dame Joan Collins, 82, supermodel Jerry Hall, 59, and reality TV star matriarch Kris Jenner, 60.
The YouGov survey also revealed half of women aged 50 and over say they dress for themselves rather than to impress others, according to the Daily Express newspaper.
Meanwhile, fans of Queen Elizabeth will be thrilled to learn the stylish monarch's wardrobe will go on display at her royal homes in the new exhibition, 'Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from The Queen's Wardrobe' next year.
The first display will coincide with her 90th birthday on April 21 and will open at her Scottish residence, Palace of Holyroodhouse, the second will be part of the summer opening at Buckingham Palace, and the third will be shown at Windsor Castle in September.
The exhibition, which will be the largest display of Queen Elizabeth's style ever to go on display, will mark notable events in her life and will feature more than 150 outfits.
