Britain's Queen Elizabeth disappointed a group of children as she failed to collect flowers from them after church yesterday (05.01.14).
The 87-year-old royal refused to greet well-wishes, including eight-year-old wheel-chair bound Sienna Wheeler, for the second week in a row after attending the morning service with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh at Sandringham, Norfolk, England.
The Queen - who was dressed in a gold coat and matching hat - quickly rushed back to her awaiting car and the children, who had travelled especially to see the monarch, were forced to display their bouquets by the gates of the church.
Last week, police told parents that the Queen would not be accepting flowers as she had been made late for Christmas lunch due to so many children wanting to present her with gifts.
A Buckingham spokesperson said last week: "Her Majesty is always grateful whenever people wish to present flowers. However, she does not accept them in person on every occasion."
