Denmark's Princess Marie is touring Ethiopia.
The 37-year-old royal - the wife of Prince Joachim - is visiting the nation in her role of patron of DanChurchAid, an organisation which carries out relief and development work in the poorest areas.
The Paris-born mother-of-two was greeted on her first day with a lunch in Addis Abiaba hosted by the Danish ambassador to Ethiopia.
She then visited Danish company Engsko United Milling System, which produces millstones to grind grain. As well as speaking to workers, she tried her hand at working the mill.
She was also taken to the DanChurch Aid headquarters, where she was presented with a bouquet of flowers before meeting employees to learn more about the organisation's work.
Marie is scheduled to travel south of Addis Abiaba to the Bale Zone, where she will visit development projects and see how staff of DanChurchAid and local villagers cultivate soil and breed livestock. She is also scheduled to visit a number of projects in Goro.
The tour marks her second official trip with DanChurchAid, having previously toured Cambodia in 2012.
