Princes Marie of Denmark has praised her "amazing" and "humble" husband Prince Joachim.
The romantic royal has opened up about her marriage of six years and she confessed to feeling as in love as the day they met.
Speaking to Costume magazine about the moment she met her husband, French-born Princess Marie shared: "I was already well into my career, and did not at all think of a husband or children, but [Joachim] was, and is, amazing. He has that Danish way of being - very discreet and a bit humble.
"It is charming, but he also has a bit of the French culture in himself, so we could speak perfect French together when we met."
Princess Marie - who is mother to Prince Henrik, five, and Princess Athena, two, and step-mother to Prince Joachim's sons from his first marriage, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix - admitted that her royal beau is often stricter with their children.
She told the magazine: "My husband is the stern one, I give in quickly. I am terrible. But when it comes to them managing on their own, I am firm. Because my children are going to do things themselves."
The Danish royal also revealed that she occasionally misses being able to dress casually and added that she will "never quite get used to the attention".
She shared: "I do miss my anonymity and walking around without make-up and having messy hair. I don't do that a lot any more."
