Sweden's Princess Madeleine's is expecting a baby girl.
The royal - fifth in line to the Swedish throne - has confirmed she is expecting a daughter after Swedish royal lifestyle magazine, Svensk Damtidning, reported she had revealed the baby's gender whilst registering on a US website for baby shower gifts.
The magazine's editor, Karin Lennmor, told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet: "Our judgement is that this is correct and has been confirmed by her friends New York."
Although Madeleine, 31, declined to comment on the news, Swedish Royal Court spokeswoman Ulrika Näsholm reportedly checked the information with the princess who confirmed the rumour.
She said: "The information is correct but Princess Madeleine does not want to comment further."
Madeleine - who is due to give birth on February 5, 2014 - also admitted she is reading famous baby book 'What To Expect When You Are Expecting' in preparation for the new arrival.
Speaking of the suddenness of her pregnancy, she recently said: "It's better that way, rather than to plan everything in advance and find that nothing happens."
The pretty royal - who is almost five months pregnant with her first child - says both she and husband Chris O'Neill are excited and "very happy" with how it is going.
Madeleine married Chris - a 39-year-old British-American, who has not taken a royal title - in June, two years after they first got together.
The couple reside in New York - where Madeleine works for the World Childhood Foundation, a non-profit group founded by her mother, Queen Silvia - but it is expected they will return to Sweden for the birth of their child.
