Princess Diana

Princess Diana's style will come under scrutiny in a new documentary.

'Princess Diana's Dresses: The Auction', which will air on Channel 4, will feature several of the most popular wardrobe choices made by the late royal - who died in a car crash in 1997 - including the gown she donned to dance with John Travolta at the White House.

Other garments on show in the programme will include the famous black halter neck design she wore for her iconic Mario Testino portrait, as the documentary looks at the 10 dresses which were sold for a collective sum of more than £800,000 at the Kerry Taylor Auction in March.

The show will also include never-before-seen interviews about her fashion choices, including insights from a number of her advisors, such as Condé Nast International vice-president and senior editor Anna Harvey, as well as Virginia Clarke who she lived with during her engagement to Prince Charles.

'Princess Diana's Dresses: The Auction' will be screened on Channel 4 for the first time on July 16th.
