Princess Charlene of Monaco dazzled in New York as she attended the Princess Grace Awards Gala last night (30.10.13).
The princess honoured her late mother-in-law at the ceremony, which she attended in a regal green ball gown.
The 35-year-old was presented with a bouquet of flowers by a young girl to welcome her to the gala, which she accepted as she struck up a conversation with the youngster.
The awards were hosted by the Princess Grace Foundation, which was set up by the late royal to identify and assist emerging talents in theatre, dance and film by awarding grants.
At the ceremony, 'The Help' star Cicely Tyson was given the Prince Rainier III Award for leadership in the arts, while filmmaker and New Arts Axis Director, Wendy Levy, and New York City Ballet Principal Dancer, Tiler Peck, received Princess Grace Statue Awards.
Earlier this week Charlene's husband, Prince Albert - princess Grace's son - paid tribute to his mother's charity work.
He said: "Most of the world knows my mother first as a Hollywood film actress, then as the princess of Monaco.
"She was indeed a beautiful and talented woman and a fashion icon but that is just the surface of her life.
"She left a successful Hollywood acting career to pursue her heart. During her lifetime, she became a United Nations advocate for children and an international spokesperson for arts and culture.
"She also established an enduring legacy as president of the Monaco Red Cross and through the Princess Grace Foundation."
