Britain's Prince William has agreed to cameo in 'Blackadder'.
The 31-year-old royal told comedian Sir Tony Robinson he is a big fan of the classic BBC sitcom as he knighted the actor in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace yesterday (12.11.13), and he is reportedly willing to film an appearance in the show should it ever return.
Tony, who played downtrodden manservant Baldrick in the series, told BBC News: "I said to him, 'Would you be prepared to be in it?' He said 'yes' like a shot.
"I managed to do a bit of casting while he was awarding my knighthood. I think that is probably a first."
Sir Tony also insisted Prince William shouldn't play a character if he were to be on the show.
He added: "I think he would have to play himself."
The 67-year-old actor starred in the sitcom with the likes of Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, and was quizzed by the prince about a potential fifth series of the show.
He joked to William: "I don't know if we can afford Hugh Laurie."
