Britain's Prince William is trying to "banish dark shadows" from his parents divorce, it has been claimed.
The 31-year-old royal, his wife Duchess Catherine, and their three-month-old son Prince George recently moved into their renovated apartment at Kensington Palace - where he spent the happiest part of his childhood - and royal photographer Mark Stewart believes William will be able to remember good times by moving back to the royal residence.
He told HELLO! magazine: "I think he [William] is trying to re-create the happiness he enjoyed growing up at Kensington Palace and banishing the dark shadows associated with the break-up of his parents' marriage by installing his own happy family there."
William - whose parents Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana got divorced in 1996 - is said to be determined to keep his family out of the scrutiny of the public and allow his son to have as normal an upbringing as possible.
The couple have insisted on having only a small number of household staff at their apartment, 1A, including housekeeper Antonella Freselone, part-time nanny Jessie Webb and a small number of press officers and support staff.
