Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Tusk Trust Awards
Britain's Prince William is planning on taking Prince George to Africa in the near future.
The 31-year-old royal is keen to take his new son, who was born in July, and his wife Duchess Catherine on a trip to the world's second largest continent because he wants George to experience first-hand the beauty of the country.
He said: "The possibility of extinction is bad enough for one of our children growing up here in the West, who will never experience the magic of seeing a rhino on a new television documentary; or even for my own dear George, who Catherine and I very much hope to introduce to east Africa, a place we know and love, in the fullness of time."
The couple arrived at the Tusk Trust - who William is a patron for - award ceremony last night (12.09.13) in London as part of their first official engagement together since the birth of George.
Charlie Mayhew, the charity co-founder, said: "The Duke of Cambridge has had such an impact on Tusk and the world of conservation in general in recent years. Goodness knows the difference he and the Duchess can make now the Prince plans to focus more of his time on what is one of his passions."
Prince William announced his plans yesterday to leave the armed forces to focus on royal duties and spend more time with his family.
