Prince Harry

Britain's Prince Harry has an army of admiring female colleagues who keep bringing him lunch and cups of tea.

The 29-year-old royal, who split from his on/off girlfriend of two years Cressida Bonas last month, has been getting plenty of attention while on duty at the British Army's London District Headquarters at Horse Guards Parade, where he has a desk job.

A source told the Sunday People newspaper: "The girls go do-eyed and silly and it's immediately apparent everything's stopped because Harry is in the office.

"Some girls, not just the younger ones, treat him like he's a big celebrity.

"He's not always around because of his royal duties but basically when he is in the office, work basically stops."

The headquarters, where Harry helps to plan ceremonial events such as state visits, is a base for 11 Army units and nine Territorial Army units, including the Household Cavalry.

Harry works closely with a number of female soldiers of all ages, who are said to be trying to woo Harry.

The insider continued: "All of my staff begin swooning when Harry arrives for work. I cut them a bit of slack because he's not your average officer but I do have to tell them to concentrate when he's around.

"They are often queuing up to make him tea and bring his lunch to his desk. It can be a little embarrassing for Harry but he is very good natured. But the work output definitely slows down when he's in."

The flame-haired royal is said to be on first-name terms with some of the girls, although they have to call him sir, but he "does not rest on his royal credentials."

The source added: "He's happy to make tea for everyone when it's his turn. He's even brought in cakes."
