Prince Harry

Britain's Prince Harry has praised the wounded soldiers for their "unbelievable achievement" last month.

The 29-year-old royal took part in a gruelling 208-mile journey across Antarctica, accompanied by disabled servicemen in December to raise money for the charity Walking with the Wounded, and has paid tribute to his teammates for completing the challenge.

Speaking at a press conference in London yesterday (21.01.14), he said: "This truly unbelievable achievement by everyone behind me... will remind everybody that they can achieve anything they want to. Our wounded, injured and sick [servicemen] they simply want to be treated the same way as before they were injured. With respect.

"For some the journey may be more of a challenge and it is up to us to make it as easy for them as we can. We can do that with training, with employment, or even with adventure."

Prince Harry also appealed for help in getting injured servicemen and women back in to employment.

He said: "If anybody out there has the ability or resources to give these guys and girls a stepping stone back into employment then please do. You certainly won't regret it."
