Britain's Prince Harry met with wounded soldiers in Exeter, south west England, yesterday (11.06.14).
The 29-year-old royal requested a private visit to Lympstone Commando Training Centre in order to show support to the injured troops, who took part in a triathlon designed to prove there is life after a seemingly debilitating injury.
Around 100 troops took part in events such as cycling, swimming and static rowing, and Harry said the efforts of the soldiers was "awe-inspiring".
In between events, the royal met with competitors and learned how the sporting event has had a positive effect on their road to recovery.
Sergeant Caleb Patton, who suffered severe scars following a blast while on a training exercise in Nevada, USA, said: "It's pretty awesome to have the support of Prince Harry - as he walked by and said hi, without really looking up I said, 'How's it going?', and then realised who it was."
Colonel Willy Buhl added to the Western Morning News: "There's something special about an event like this which gives them focus and to have Prince Harry come by and show his support really makes them feel worthy."
