Britain's Prince Harry joked he couldn't moan about his broken toe before his South Pole trek because he is walking alongside some people who have just one real leg.
The flame-haired royal fractured the body part in the lead up to the gruelling 208-mile race, which is now into its fourth day, for the Walking With The Wounded charity - which funds both the re-training and re-education of wounded servicemen and women - but he hasn't complained about his injury at all.
Speaking in a telephone chat to wish luck to the Row 2 Recovery team before they embarked on a 3,000-mile journey across the Atlantic in aid of Help for Heroes, he quipped: "Rowing 3,000 miles is a hell of a lot easier than walking 300km by the way."
They replied: "Especially if you've got a broken toe, I can imagine that's true."
Harry said: "I'm not really allowed to mention by broken toe next to the people doing this with one leg."
The prince was in a great mood as he wished the rowers well before their jaunt and joked he hopes they manage to steer clear of Great White sharks along the way.
He said: "Have a really, really good time ... bar the 50ft waves and the Great White sharks! Good luck and we will all be thinking of you."
Prince Harry is currently taking part in Walking With The Wounded's 208-mile Antarctic Expedition to the South Pole.
