Prince Harry

Prince Harry

Blake met with Britain's Prince Harry yesterday (14.11.13).

The vocal group spent the morning with the 29-year-old royal and members of the Walking With The Wounded charity at the Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge send-off in Trafalgar Square in London.

The band - consisting of Humphrey Berney, Stephen Bowman and Ollie Baines - were introduced to the Prince by the charity Co-Founder and South Pole Allied Challenge team mentor Edward Parker, before performing the official anthem 'To The Sun'.

Blake said: "Meeting Prince Harry is always an honour and he is such an easy and charming person to speak to. His passion for the charity and expedition was very clear and he was very gracious in thanking us for our support in creating 'To the Sun' as the charity's anthem".

Harry will embark on a trek to the South Pole with a team of wounded servicemen and women to raise money for the Walking With the Wounded charity next week.

The group will travel to Cape Town in South Africa on Sunday before flying to Antarctica where they will acclimatise to the extreme cold before beginning their 208-mile journey.

As part of his vigorous training for the trek, Prince Harry, who has served as an helicopter pilot in Afghanistan, spent a night in a sub-zero Army test facility along with his team mates - Major Kate Philp, Sgt Duncan Slater, Capt Guy Disney and Capt Ibrar Ali - who have all lost limbs in Afghanistan.
