The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry went head-to-head in a Christmas football match.
Prince William and his younger brother played the annual game at Sandringham, drawing 2-2.
William, who is president of the Football Association, met his match when his brother scored a goal in the 25th minute, and the Duke asked for him to be booked for his "backchat".
An onlooker told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "William and Harry are both fairly reasonable players, but it seemed that Harry had the edge when it came to fitness.
"It is probably not surprising because Harry is a serving soldier and has just come back from a 200 mile trek to the South Pole.
"Harry was getting around all over the pitch and was beating his brother in most challenges, but William won his fair share of balls.
"It was a very good-natured game with no serious fouls or injuries, but they were not shy about steaming into each other."
Harry, 29, was still sporting his beard after his recent charity trek - despite being teased by William over his new facial hair.
Both the royals played a full 90 minutes on the pitch with friends and members of staff from the Sandringham estate, during the family's annual break in Norfolk.
The Duke of Cambridge, 31, played in midfield in a number eight shirt, with a pair of England shorts and Aston Villa socks, supporting his favourite team.
Prince Harry wore a number four shirt and began the match on the left wing before ending the game splattered with mud from a number of sliding tackles.
