Prince Harry will attend the ninth annual WellChild Awards.

The 28-year-old royal will attend the ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London on Wednesday (11.09.13) to honour the brave and inspirational attitude of some seriously ill children, and the efforts which others go to in order to make a real difference to their lives.

WellChild chief executive Colin Dyer said: "The WellChild Awards event is a fantastic celebration of the very deserving winners in all categories and Prince Harry's attendance makes the evening even more special for them."

The winners have already been informed and will be presented with their trophy on the night.

Harry - who is also the charity's royal patron - attended the event last year where he mingled with the winners and their families and was lost for words when it came to describing the amazing attitude of the winners.

During his speech he said: "All of you - children, families, nurses, doctors, carers, volunteers - are quite frankly too remarkable for me adequately to describe with mere words.

"Your spirit triumphs through adversity and makes our everyday worries seem very, very insignificant. "
