Prince Harry is said to be planning to propose to Cressida Bonas "any day" now.

The party loving prince is ready to settle down with the pretty socialite - whom he has been dating for 18 months - and would reportedly like to wed as early as next year.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "The way it's looking now people close to Harry and Cressida predict an engagement by the end of the year and a spring wedding.

"Cressida is The One. He's so close to her. All the tell-tale signs are there.

"People have heard Harry talking about how special Cress is and about getting engaged.

"He says 'They are all waiting for me to propose any day', then he grins.

"It's his idea of a joke. He takes everything like this light-heartedly. But we know his true feelings."

Friends add Harry - who was introduced to Cressida by his cousin, Princess Eugenie - is planning a romantic break to Africa with Cressida, where he could pop the question.

The source added: "Harry can't give her his mother [Princess Diana's] engagement ring as [his brother, Prince] William has already given it to Catherine.

"But he can show Cressida Africa and tell her about his anti-landmine work, a cause Diana was so devoted to. It shows how serious Harry is about her.

"He is taking a lot of time and trouble to devote so much time to her and see her as often as he can."

Prince William chose to propose to his wife, Duchess Catherine, in Africa at a Kenyan game reserve in 2010.
