Prince George and Princess Charlotte will play major roles in Pippa Middleton's forthcoming wedding.
The 33-year-old socialite is set to tie the knot with her beau James Matthews - the brother of reality TV star Spencer Matthews - at St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire, on Saturday, May 20, and she's asked her sister Duchess Catherine and brother-in-law Prince William if the three-year-old royal can be a page boy while the 23-month-old princess joins the bridesmaids, Kensington Palace has said.
It was initially thought that Catherine would be her sister's matron of honour when she gets hitched next month but it doesn't look like she's taking on that role - even though Pippa was one of the Duchess' bridesmaid at her lavish ceremony when she married William in London in 2011.
Although she hasn't got a major role in Pippa's nuptials, Catherine will attend the ceremony with her husband - who is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip - and his brother Prince Harry.
It's not known if Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle is invited to the romantic event but it was initially claimed Pippa had banned Spencer's girlfriend Vogue Williams - whom he's been dating for three months - from attending because she only wants plus ones who are married or engaged there.
A source said recently: "Pippa's view is that it wouldn't be appropriate for her to be there after a few months of dating. But some are shocked because her future brother-in-law will end up attending on his own. It's clear Pippa doesn't want to be outshone by any TV babes."
Pippa's wedding is no doubt set to be extravagant as it was recently claimed that there will be "no expense spared" when it comes to the wedding.
A source said previously: "It will be blingtastic. The best champagne, Krug or Bollinger, and a specially devised champagne cocktail.
"Pippa and James have a penchant for Blanc de Noir Tillington 2009 from Nyetimber at £75 a bottle - and wonderful food. No expense will be spared. This isn't a bangers-and-mash, sitting-on-hay-bales affair. Pippa is hardly a floaty bohemian type."
