Britain's Prince George is to visit New Zealand next year.
The royal tot and his parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine are set to take a trip to the island at some point during 2014 but, despite it being an election year for the country, Prime Minister John Key can't see a reason why the trio can't visit.
Speaking TVNZ's Breakfast show, he said: "If they come in the election period - it's generally seen as that period where sort of three months beforehand - then there are all sorts of rules that apply there."
However, Mr Key is adamant that even if the royals did turn up in New Zealand close to an election, he doesn't expect it to affect the voting system.
He explained: "I think it's a wonderful thing that they come and I'm a massive supporter of the royal family but I don't think someone goes into a polling booth and says, 'I'm going to vote National because Prince William turned up in New Zealand'."
In 2011, the government was put under pressure to turn the royal family away from the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand as it fell close to election day, but in the end they didn't turn up.
