Luxembourg's Prince Félix and Princess Claire have become parents for the first time.
The royal couple - who married in September 2013 - welcomed daughter Amalia into the world yesterday (15.06.14), a statement from the prince's parents Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa has announced.
The statement read: "The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are very happy to announce the birth of the first child of their royal highnesses Prince Félix and Princess Claire.
"The baby was born on 15 June 2014 at the Grand-Duchesse Charlotte Maternity Wing at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg."
Both sets of grandparents are delighted with the new arrival.
The statement read: "The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess as well as Mr and Mrs Lademacher and their families expressed their best wishes and joy at the happy news."
The couple - who live in France - have honoured their mothers, Maria Teresa and Gabriele Lademacher with their little girl's middle names.
The statement continued: "The young princess will bear the names Amalia, Gabriela, Maria Teresa. She weighed 2.95kg and measured 50cm at birth."
Félix was present at the birth and both his wife and daughter are "doing well".
Amalia is Henri and Maria Teresa's third grandchild, as their son Price Louis and his wife Princess Tessy are parents to Gabriel, eight, and six-year-old Noah.
