Britain's Prince Charles met with injured military patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham yesterday (19.12.13).
The Prince of Wales made his traditional pre-Christmas trip to the hospital on Thursday and spent time with patients and staff from the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCD).
Davina Thomas, the Matron of the neurological science ward, wrote on the hospital website: "This is what helps count towards them getting better. It's a morale boost for everyone."
Wing Commander Teresa Griffiths added: "Prince Charles is incredibly human and spends a lot of time sitting with the patients and families. They get a huge amount of support from that."
It marked Charles' tenth visit to the hospital, with the royal most recently opening Fisher House UK in June, a "home away from home" for wounded military servicemen.
The kind-hearted heir also chatted to members of the public visiting the hospital before stopping by two of the wards.
A spokesperson for Clarence House commented: "It's something he's very passionate about. He's very keen to show his support obviously to the troops here and also to the support teams of both military personnel and civilian personnel."
