Prince Charles is planning a "fantastic" birthday party for his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
The Duchess will be celebrating her 70th birthday on July 17, and it has been reported that her 68-year-old husband is working on throwing a lavish party for around 300 guests in honour of her special day.
The event - which will be planned by Charles's former valet Michael Fawcett - is thought to be taking place two days prior to her birthday on July 15, and will be a black tie dinner held at their Gloucestershire home of Highgrove.
A source told the Daily Express newspaper: "It's going to be a wonderful evening and Michael is brilliant at organising these events.
"Charles wants his loyal friends to know how much he loves Camilla and how he would be lost without her.
"Although no-one will admit it publicly, she will be queen when Charles becomes king, and the feeling is that the dark days are very much behind her, so there is a lot to celebrate.
"He threw amazing parties at Highgrove for her 50th and 60th birthdays and I'm sure this one will be fantastic as well."
The party is reportedly set to be held in The Orangery after guests are served champagne and cocktails outside in Charles's beloved manicured gardens.
Attendees are thought to include Charles' sons, 35-year-old Prince William - who will be accompanied by his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - and Prince Harry, 32, who might bring his girlfriend Meghan Markle along with him.
Princess Anne her husband Sir Timothy Laurence, as well as Zara and Mike Tindall, are also expected to attend the celebrations.
The Daily Express also reports rumoured invitees are set to include the likes of Joanna Lumley and her husband Stephen Barlow, Stephen Fry, Lord Puttnam, Dame Judi Dench and Winston Churchill's grandson, Sir Nicholas Soames.
