Britain's Prince Charles has donated to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
The 65-year-old royal and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have made an undisclosed personal donation to help more than 14 million people affected by the terrible natural disaster, which has killed more than 5,700 people in the Philippines since it struck last month.
A message on the official Clarence House Twitter account read: "The Prince of Wales has donated to the @DECappeal #Philippines #TyphoonAid"
Charles attended a Disasters Emergency Committee reception in London this week and praised the British public's generosity after they donated more than £50 million of support to help get shelter, clean water and emergency supplies to up to 800,000 people.
He said: "People in this country seem to be some of the most generous people anywhere.
"It is truly remarkable that so much money is raised so quickly."
Charles' mother Queen Elizabeth also recently made an undisclosed personal donation to those affected by the disaster.
Last month, she wrote in a letter: "I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of life and devastation caused by the typhoon that hit the Philippines at the weekend.
"Prince Philip joins me in offering our heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families at this difficult time.
"Our deepest sympathies go out to all those whose lives have been affected. Elizabeth R."
As well as the huge donations made by the British public and the royals, several stars have also helped out including David and Victoria Beckham, who donated dozens of designer pieces from their wardrobe to the British Red Cross shop in Kensington and Chelsea, west London.
