Britain's Prince Charles asked to meet Jessie J.
The 65-year-old prince shook hands with the scantily-clad star at the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium on Monday night (25.11.13) and the 'Price Tag' hitmaker earlier spoke of her belief that the royal is a fan of her work.
She said: "He asked to meet me... I guess he wants to meet me...I'd like to think he is a fan. That or I'm in trouble."
Jessie, 25, was overjoyed to be asked to perform on the show.
Speaking ahead of her performance at the event, Jessie said: "I have watched the Royal Variety Show since I was a little girl and always dreamt of being on it. It will be a real special moment for me. I can't wait.
"It feels like you've got a sense of responsibility as a British artist to fulfil the standard."
Other highlights on the night came from drag act Dame Edna Everage - AKA Barry Humphries - who took a seat next to Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla in the royal box, Gary Barlow, who kicked off the Royal Variety show by singing 'Greatest Day' and 'Let Me Go', and Olly Murs who performed a duet with Robbie Williams for a rendition of the Jungle Book classic 'I Wanna Be Like You.'
The Royal Variety Performance will be screened on ITV on Monday December 9.
