Prince Charles was surprised by Dame Edna Everage at the Royal Variety Performance.
The 65-year-old royal and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were left in stitches of laughter after the drag act pulled up a seat next to them when she appeared in their royal box at the London Palladium on Monday night (25.11.13).
The couple joined the audience in roars of laughter, when the comedic character -played by Barry Humphries- made her way through the aisles and joined them for a prime view of the stage.
She joked: "I'm so sorry; they found me a better seat".
The royal couple were joined by a host of stars on the evening to enjoy performances from Jessie J and Gary Barlow, who kicked off the Royal Variety show by singing lively performances of 'Greatest Day' and 'Let Me Go'.
Other surprises on the night came from Olly Murs who performed a duet with Robbie Williams for a rendition of the Jungle Book classic 'I Wanna Be Like You.'
The Royal Variety Performance will be screened on ITV on Monday December 9.
