Britain's Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall have kicked off their trip to Wales by visiting Dylan Thomas' last home.
The royal couple took in the late Welsh poet's abode, the Boathouse in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, west Wales, where he wrote many of his celebrated works, including one of his most famous plays, 'Under Milk Wood'.
Charles and Camilla saw Thomas' writing shed - where he spent hours penning his successful pieces - at his old home, which has now been converted into a heritage centre, bookshop and tea room.
The pair also watched a performance of 'Under Milk Wood' and Charles - who is patron of the Dylan Thomas 100 Festival, which is due to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth next year - was distracted by the writing legend's great-grandson, Charlie Ellis, four.
The visit marked the first day of the couple's annual summer trip to Wales, where they always spend a week every July.
Earlier in the day, Charles was serenaded by school pupils who sang the British and Welsh anthems to welcome him to Llandovery, where he took in The Llandovery Work Hub, the town's information centre.
