Patrick J. Adams is "very happy" to see the Duchess of Sussex being vocal about the US election.The 39-year-old actor starred alongside the Duchess in the TV drama series 'Suits', and he's delighted that the former actress and her husband, Prince Harry, recently stressed the importance of voting in the upcoming election.He said: "[I'm] very, very happy that she’s becoming very vocal and doing whatever she can to help the election in November."However, the actor admitted he hasn't been in contact with the Duchess much over recent months, despite her relocating to California earlier in the year.He shared: "I miss my friend, but I’m very happy she’s doing well. I don’t really have any regular contact."Patrick and his wife Troian Bellisario were among the guests at the Duchess' wedding at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018.And he's pleased that his former co-star has returned to the US.He told Access Hollywood: "I think she’s pretty busy, but I am happy to have her back stateside."The Duke and Duchess of Sussex both recently appeared in a Time 100 video message in which they urged Americans to vote, with Prince Harry calling on them to "reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity" in the election.The British royal - who has Archie, 16 months, with the Duchess - said: "I am not able to vote in the US. But many of you may not know that I haven’t been able to vote in the UK my entire life. As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity."However, Buckingham Palace later distanced itself from the Duke's comments.A statement explained: "The Duke is not a working member of the royal family and any comments he makes are in a personal capacity."
