A former sniper's estranged wife thinks it is "utterly convincing" that an SAS hit squad killed Princess Diana.

The former partner of the military veteran - referred to as as Soldier N - who believes claims that the car crash which killed Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed in Paris in 1997 had involvement from members of the United Kingdom Special Forces, is convinced of the truth in his allegations.

A source told the Daily Express newspaper: "She was utterly convinced he was telling the truth when he said the SAS was involved in Diana and Dodi Fayed's deaths."

Soldier N's alleges that Diana and Dodi's driver Henri Paul - whose gross negligence is said to be the cause of the accident as he was drink driving - was blinded by light shortly before he lost control of the Mercedes-Benz W140 he was driving.

The woman was interviewed by Scotland Yard in a secret location and says he made the allegations before their relationship broke down.

The source explained: "This was not said to scare or threaten her. It came out when there was no marital strife and when they were still friends."

Dodi's father Mohamed Al Fayed has has always believed that they were killed and their murders then covered-up.
