Meghan Markle has hailed her 'Suits' cast as "family".
The 35-year-old actress - who is currently dating Prince Harry - believes she has built up a close bond and "different dynamic" with her colleagues on the popular drama series after playing the role of Rachel Zane on the programme since it first aired in 2011.
Speaking during a script reading at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, as part of the ATX Television festival, the brunette beauty - who was also joined by cast mates Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres and Patrick J. Adams - said: "We were in a group email the other day and I was saying we'd all lived in the same corporate housing so on top of working together we were living together which makes a whole different dynamic, I think. We just became this whole family right out the gate."
And the style icon is "so happy" she was cast in the production and selected to portray the paralegal female because her character has been given the opportunity to progress in her career and become a more inspirational figure for the audience.
Speaking about her role and how Rachel has been able to develop throughout the series, Meghan said: "I am so happy ... she's worked so hard and I love that, as a role model, how she's been crafted to balance it all and now have this place at the firm where she really knows her standing and her office isn't just because she's a good researcher, it's because she's an associate. She's really earned that spot."
