Mary Berry discussed vegetables with Prince Philip at the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday (22.05.17).
The former 'Great British Bake Off' judge helped inspire the Taste Garden which was designed by Jon Wheatley at the annual show in London, and was able to chat with both the 95-year-old royal and his wife Queen Elizabeth when they visited the event before it opens to ticket holders on Tuesday (23.05.17).
Mary told the Evening Standard newspaper after showing Prince Philip - who is also known was the Duke of Edinburgh - an array of vegetables: "The Duke was asking about kohlrabi and he reckoned it was a bit wet and not full of flavour - and I think I agree with him."
The Chelsea Flower Show - which runs until Saturday (27.05.17) - is hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society, of which Mary, 82, is an ambassador.
It isn't the first time Mary has met with the royals either, as earlier this year she recalled a time when she was asked to join the couple for lunch at Buckingham Palace, although she originally believed her son Thomas was playing a trick on her when she got the phone call.
She said at the time: "They gave me a date but I couldn't make it ... so they gave me another date. When I first got the call to invite me I had thought it was a joke. Thomas answered the phone and said, 'It's Buckingham Palace for you'. Well, I just assumed he was taking the Michael out of his mother. Then I took the call and they said, 'It's Buckingham Palace here. Her Majesty would like you to come for lunch.' Gosh, I thought, how lovely."
Meanwhile, 'Great British Bake Off' winner Nadiya Hussain believes the royal couple watch the cooking show - which featured Mary until 2016 when the programme moved from BBC One to rival broadcaster Channel 4 - because Prince Philip knew who she was.
Speaking in June last year, Nadiya - who won the competition in 2015 - said: "When the queen introduced me to Prince Philip while I was presenting the cake to them, he said, 'Yes I know who she is - but what flavour is the cake?' so I believe they do watch 'GBBO'."
