Britain's Prince William says Prince George "has a voice to match any lion's roar".
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Tusk Trust awards ceremony last night (12.09.13) in London to recognise outstanding conservationists, and couldn't help but make a joke about the sound of their tiny tot's screams.
In a speech during the event, the Duke said: "As you might have gathered, Catherine and I have recently become proud parents - of a baby who has a voice to match any lion's roar!
"This is actually our first evening out without him, so please excuse us if you see us nervously casting cheeky glances at our mobile phones to check all is well back home."
However, turning his speech to the theme of the ceremony, he added: "Like any new parents, our thoughts inevitably turn to the world that our child will inherit.
"It is unfathomable to imagine a world in which children who have been born in the past couple of months may grow up in a world in which rhinoceros have ceased to live in the wild."
Duchess Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William in 2011 - stole the show, as she stepped out for the first official engagement since the birth of George, in a stunning Jenny Packham floor-length gown, while the prince - who is a patron of the UK-based African wildlife charity - opted for a simple suit.
