The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are finding parenthood very rewarding.

The happy couple have been on cloud nine since welcoming their first son, Prince George, to the world on July 22 and are enjoying spending time with the three-week-old baby.

A source told Us Weekly: "They're loving it. Every day is bringing new things to learn."

While Duchess Catherine, 31, is currently staying at her parents Michael and Carole Middleton's home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, Prince William, also 31, has had to tear himself away from his family to resume work as an RAF search and rescue pilot in Anglesey, North Wales.

However, William intends to return as much as possible during the next few weeks, in between his royal duties, and is keen to be a hands-on father.

The insider added: "They're doing as much as they can by themselves. The baby is always with one of them, or asleep."

The royal couple broke with tradition by choosing not to hire a nanny to look after their child, and the only home help they have had is from housekeeper Antonella Fresolone.

The source revealed: "There's no special treatment. William still has to help load the dishwasher after dinner. The same will apply to George when he's a grown boy."
