The Duchess of Cambridge is planning to treat her parents to a holiday as a thank you for helping since the birth of Prince George.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine are overjoyed with how hands-on Michael and Carole Middleton have been since the birth of Prince George in July, particularly in the three weeks after the birth when the new mother stayed at her parents' home in Berkshire, Southern England.
A source told Look magazine: "Unsurprisingly, as a result [of the stay in Berkshire] Catherine and Carole are closer than ever.
"The duke and duchess are so grateful, they plan to treat her parents to a break in Paris in October to say thank you."
After staying at her parents Duchess Catherine - known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - moved to Anglesey in Wales where the prince is finishing off his duties as a search and rescue helicopter pilot. Once they are complete the couple will move to Kensington Palace in London.
It has been rumoured a part of the couple's residence - currently undergoing a £1 million refurbishment - is being decorated so Michael and Carole can stay over and always be on hand to help raise the young prince.
According to sources, the annex earmarked for them includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, a sitting room and a dining area.
A source said: "The guest area will allow Carole and Michael to be near Catherine whenever possible. William is really pleased they will be close by - he really is behind the idea."
