Duchess Catherine will co-host a London Fashion Week event at Buckingham Palace with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, on behalf of Queen Elizabeth.
The 36-year-old beauty - who is expecting her third child with husband Prince William - has been chosen by the British monarch, along with the wife of Prince Edward, to strengthen relations with the Commonwealth by putting on the Fashion Exchange Reception at the royal household on February 19, ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
A spokesman for Buckingham Palace said: "The initiative uses fashion as a common language and platform to help people understand the modern Commonwealth in a different way.
"The reception at Buckingham Palace will showcase the best of Commonwealth contemporary fashion and creativity with an exhibition of some of the bespoke fashion 'looks' which are the result of these exchanges."
Both women are style icons in their own right and are the perfect fit for the event, which will see renowned designers including Stella McCartney, Bibi Russell and Karen Walker, work together with producers from less developed countries to "exemplify traditional handcraft techniques and trades".
Whilst Catherine - who has two-year-old Princess Charlotte and four-year-old Prince George with the queen's grandson - and Sophie have been enlisted to help, the 91-year-old royal is still going to be on hand to formally kick off the meeting and host dinners with other members of the royal family being drafted in to help improve communication with the Commonwealth.
