Duchess Catherine has a member of her family with her at all times as her due date grows closer.

The royal - previously known as Kate Middleton - is due to give birth to her first child with husband Prince William this month and when her spouse can't be with her due to work commitments, she makes sure to have another relative close by.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "William has been with Kate as much as possible whenever he is off shift. But when he can't be there, there is always another family member with her. Kate doesn't want to go to the hospital on her own."

While the birth of the future heir to the throne is imminent, Catherine and William are still said to be speculating over what name to give him or her.

The source added: "They have yet to decide on a name and they probably won't until the day of the birth."
