Britain's Duchess Catherine has been craving hot curries.
The Duchess of Cambridge - who is due to give birth to her and husband Prince William's first baby on July 13 - has been consuming vegetable curries made at Peach's Spar shop in the village of Bucklebury, Berkshire, where her family live.
The craving came about when the duchess - known as Kate Middleton before her and Prince William's nuptials - went into the convenience store to purchase some Haribo sweets, of which she is a big fan, and she couldn't get enough of the smell of a curry being cooked.
Chan Shingadia, who runs the shop with wife Hash, told the Daily Mail newspaper: "My wife was cooking. Kate said it smelled lovely."
Hash added: "She said she had a craving so I made her a big batch to take away with rice and flatbreads."
Following the successful visit, Catherine has since returned for further curries.
Hash explained: "She last popped in a couple of weeks ago."
Perhaps Catherine was attempting to speed up her pregnancy as according to an old wives' tale, eating a hot curry can bring on labour during the late stages of pregnancy.
