Duchess Camilla has been made a Royal Patron of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The 69-year-old royal - who is married to Prince Charles - visited the Old Windsor centre on Wednesday (01.02.17), where she was given the honour by the charity organisation.
A series of posts on Battersea Dogs and Cats Home' official Twitter account read: "We were thrilled to welcome The Duchess of Cornwall to our Old Windsor centre today as she was announced as our new Royal Patron ...
"Her Royal Highness is already part of our #Battersea family having rehomed two Jack Russell Terriers Beth and Bluebell from the Home ... We look forward to forging an even closer connection with our new Royal Patron over the coming years."
Model David Gandy and television personality and actress Amanda Holden also attended the event, with Amanda's daughter Alexa, 11, given the honour of handing the Duchess of Cornwall a bouquet of flowers to celebrate her patronage.
Taking to Twitter, Amanda wrote: "Proud moment. Lexi handing The Duchess of Cornwall her flowers as we welcome her as the new Patron of @BDCH ... Lexi was so thrilled to meet the Duchess and share their love of dogs! @BDCH @ClarenceHouse (sic)"
Whilst on his Instagram account, David shared a collage of pictures from the day, captioning it: "Wet and grey but great day @batterseadogsandcatshome Windsor today to mark the announcement that the wonderful Duchess of Cornwall will be the charity's new Royal Patron. @clarencehouse @noholdenback (sic)"
Meanwhile, Clarence House's official Twitter account uploaded a photograph of the Duchess posing with David, Amanda and Alexa.
