Prince Charles was fooled into thinking he dropped curry on his shirt by Duchess Camilla.
The 67-year-old royal was the subject of a joke when his wife told him he had dropped rogan josh curry on his light coloured suit as they toured a farmers' market in Penzance, Cornwall.
June Hornby, who is the owner of Ruby June's Indian Kitchen and was running a stall at the market, revealed: "The Prince lifted the spoon up and had a sniff of the rogan josh. Camilla made a joke that he had dropped some on his shirt and he went, 'Oh' and looked but Camilla had had a little joke."
During their visit to the South West, the Prince of Wales - who is first in line to the British throne - was also spotted chatting to two swimmers, Ros Luxford and Denise Gent, dressed in Union Jack swimming suits.
The Prince was at the re-opening of the Jubilee Pool in Penzance, Cornwall and enjoyed the sunshine on the UK's hottest day of the year so far.
Later on this week, the Duchess of Cornwall will open the BBC South West Headquarters in Plymouth, Devon.
Leo Devine, the Head of Regional Programming for BBC South West, said previously: "We are so honoured that Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cornwall has accepted our invitation to open the new BBC South West Headquarters. As a team, we are incredibly proud of this major project which reinforces our commitment to the region's audience as the biggest national broadcaster in the area."
The new building features several energy efficient benefits including LED lighting, solar panels and electric car charging points for BBC vehicles, which has earned them the SKA silver award in environmental credentials.
