Britain's Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip watched a hockey match at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland this afternoon (24.07.14).
The 88-year-old monarch and her husband sat amongst the crowd at the new Glasgow National Hockey Centre, where they watched the England women's team win their first match of the competition against Wales.
The team got off to the best possible start with the help of the royal couple's cheering, as they collected the maximum three points after goals from Alex Danson and Nicola White secured their victory.
The Queen's presence at the match came after she attended the 2014 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony at Glasgow's Celtic Park last night (23.07.14) to mark the beginning of the sporting event.
The ceremony featured a "journey around Scotland", which was taken by John Barrowman, Karen Dunbar and hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers.
Meanwhile, the Queen has also become the focus of a viral photo, as she was spotted "photo bombing" the Australian women's national field hockey team's Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris' selfie as she snuck into the side of the snap while displaying an ear-to-ear smile.
