Princess Anne will enjoy a four day visit to Australia from October 21 following in the footsteps of Prince William, Duchess Catherine and their son Prince George
The Princess - who is the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II - will travel down under on October 21 for a four day star before heading to the Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu for five days.
The princess - who last visited the country in 2009 in the wake of the Black Saturday bush fires which devastated areas around Melbourne - won't be making any public appearances and will instead spend her time visiting the various charities and aid projects she supports during her stay.
According to News Corp, a spokesman for Queensland's Newman Government said: "The State Government is looking forward to welcoming Her Royal Highness, the Princess Royal back to Queensland in October.
"The Princess Royal is making a private trip to visit charities and organisations with which she is involved, including Save the Children and Riding for the Disabled.
"While not making any public appearances, her visit will be very much appreciated by the many people with whom she will spend time."
Princess Anne - who recently returned from stays in Ethiopia and Tanzania - will follow in the footsteps of Prince William, Duchess Catherine and their 14-month-old son Prince George, who enjoyed a three week tour of the country in April this year.
