Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a pet hamster.
The royal couple have revealed their children, Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, 12 months, and themselves are sharing their country retreat of Anmer Hall with Marvin the hamster.
Darcey, nine, who goes to St John the Baptist Junior School in Hampton Wick, was told about the family pet as the Duchess opened the new Magic Garden at Hampton Court Palace.
She said: "She said she had a hamster, and Charlotte really likes it because the whiskers always tickle her face."
The 34-year-old royal also revealed she used to keep guinea pigs when she was a young girl and called them Salt and Pepper.
Meanwhile, during her visit to the Magic Garden, Duchess Catherine told some of the young guests that Prince George would be "a bit scared" of the 25ft plastic dragon.
Elodie, eight, who spoke to the Duchess, revealed: "She asked us what lessons we were missing and how school is. She said George would love the dragon but he would be a bit scared."
Duchess Catherine also told guests she would have liked to have brought Prince George along.
Natalie O'Rourke, who was there with her son Woody, three, said: "She replied, 'George would have loved it' and said that she wished she had brought him now! I guess she would have had to worry about him if she had.
"My son has Down's syndrome. She was talking to him and he shook her hand which was really cool. She's so charming and so beautiful."
Elsewhere on Wednesday (04.05.16), the Duchess of Cambridge went to a lunch reception to support the c and also visited the National Portrait Gallery to see some photographs from her Vogue magazine photoshoot on display.
