He may be Kate Middleton's knight in shining armour, but yesterday Prince William got to be a real hero, when he saved a 16-year-old girl from the sea.
The rescue was part of the Duke of Cambridge's job as an RAF rescue helicopter pilot. Prince William flew the Sea King helicopter, and his RAF team winched the girl to safety off the coast of Anglesey, in Wales.
The schoolgirl had been trying to rescue her 13-year-old sister, but she got into difficulties in the rough waters.
After the girl was rescued, she found out her sister had made it safely back to shore, and the two were taken to hospital in Bangor.
A rescuer said: "She had scrapes, was very cold, shocked and had swallowed water. She had been in serious difficulties and was very lucky."
Prince William's royal duties have been left him conflicted over his work as an RAF pilot, but earlier this week it was revealed there may be a chance that he can work as a helicopter pilot instructor. This would mean he wouldn't have to work as many shifts as the rest of the team.
