In his younger days, he was known as a wild-child and even now he is regarded to be the most outlandish Royal. Prince Harry sought to carry on that image this week when he attended an Olympic reception, and mocked Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
Prince Harry, The President of the School Games, entertained the crowd by reminding them of the Culture Secretary’s now infamous ‘bell gaffe’, by telling the young athletes: “I urge you to pick up the torch, or in Jeremy's case, the bell, and I expect to see your faces again when you stand on the podium at Rio and beyond”.
The reception was to honour those teenagers who had won medals in the School Games in May. The School Games is a scheme which aims to use the inspiration of London’s Olympics and Paralympics to transform competitive sport in schools, and get more young people playing sport.
Harry said added: “I hope you've all got tickets to watch your events” before motioning towards Jeremy Hunt and adding: “If not, this is your man”.
