Katie Price rushed to hospital to check on her unborn baby's condition.
The 36-year-old star reunited with her estranged husband Kieran Hayler on Saturday (31.05.14) for a hospital appointment amid fears stress from her ongoing marital trouble could lead to complications when she gives birth.
A source said: "It's not an understatement to say Katie and the people around her are terrified about the birth. [Her son] Jett's delivery was absolutely horrific and there were moments when it was touch and go for Katie.
"Her condition, including her stress levels, is being monitored by doctors and that's why it was necessary to go to hospital on Saturday. Everyone is being cautious because it wouldn't be helpful for her to go into labour early."
Katie ended her marriage to part-time stripper Kieran after discovering he had a seven-month affair with her best friend Jane Pountney.
Kieran has been determined to try and win back his wife and it's thought Katie has been experiencing mixed emotions of late.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "She is an emotional wreck. She absolutely hates what Kieran did to her and is trying to be strong about the end of their marriage. But at the same time she's heavily pregnant with his baby and feels very vulnerable. Of course, she wants him to be part of this process.
"She felt very mixed emotions being around Kieran. Of course, she loves him because you can't just switch those feelings off. But she's also so angry with what he's put her through so this definitely isn't a sign they'll get back together."
