Union J's J.J. Hamblett wants to bring his baby on stage.
The 24-year old is set to become a father for the first time with his girlfriend Caterina Lopez, and can't wait until his child is born so he can hold it out 'Lion King' style during the boy band's concerts.
Asked whether the baby was planned, J.J. said: "No, but it's a blessing. I'm looking forward to being a dad and hopefully next year I can take the kid on tour. I'm going to bring the baby out just like Mufasa did with Simba in 'The Lion King'! Simon Cowell's having a baby too, we can talk babies."
The 'Carry You' hitmaker was worried the band's younger fans wouldn't accept the news and is thrilled the responses have been positive about the addition of a new "little mascot".
He told Now magazine: "I was panicking. But I needn't have because it's a Union J baby and the fans are as excited as I am. My kid is going to be like a little mascot, isn't it?
"I thought younger fans wouldn't understand and might think I'd leave because I had new commitments. But having a baby means I'll work harder to provide a better future for my kid."
J.J. also feared his bandmates George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert and Jaymi Hensley wouldn't react well to the big announcement.
He said: "I thought they would [be angry] but George and Josh had tears in their eyes when I told them and Jaymi was thrilled. They know my dedication to Union J and they're over the moon they're getting a little J-kitten."
